July 18: Piano concert with Elena Rozanova

Enthusiastic applause

On 18 July 2026, we had the great pleasure of welcoming an exceptional pianist to Vidauban with a magnificent programme: Chopin and Mussorgsky.

Although we had decided well in advance to hold the concert in our air-conditioned Caveau de Vente, the extremely hot weather on the day meant that only a relatively small audience gathered to be enchanted by Elan Rozanova’s brilliant piano playing.

The pianist, born in Odessa (Ukraine), who has been performing on the world’s greatest international stages for years following her studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, was clearly inspired by the acoustics in our ‘small hall’ and our rather small Yamaha grand piano. Her performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition left nothing to be desired.

By the end, everyone was captivated by the brilliant piano playing, the classical music and the atmosphere at our estate, and thanked Elena Rozanova with thunderous applause.

Even though it is becoming increasingly difficult to inspire a large audience with classical music, we will continue to organise evenings like this. A good glass of wine and classical music simply go together too well.

The next classical evening at our estate will take place as part of the Gloriana Festival on 10 October 2026.
